About this tool
A watermark shows that a document is a draft, a copy or confidential. Type your text, choose the size, color and strength, and it is placed across the middle of every page. Nothing is uploaded, so your document stays private.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF.
- Type the watermark text and adjust size, direction, color and strength.
- Select Add watermark and download the stamped PDF.
Questions and answers
How do I keep the page readable?
Lower the strength slider so the watermark is faint. Around 20 to 30 percent works well for most documents.
Can I use an image or logo as a watermark?
Not yet. Use Edit PDF to place an image on a page.
Which characters are supported?
English letters, numbers and common symbols.
