About this tool
Phone photos are often 3 to 8 MB, which is too big for most upload forms. Compress image reduces the file size while keeping the picture looking good. You can also shrink the dimensions for even smaller files. Results are saved as JPG.
How to use it
- Choose one or more images.
- Select the compression strength and, if needed, a smaller maximum size.
- Select Compress, then save each image or download them all as a ZIP.

Does compression reduce quality?
A little. The Recommended setting keeps images looking natural in most cases. Use Light if you want the best quality.
What happens to PNG files with a transparent background?
They are saved as JPG, and transparent areas become white.
